Я набрала номер страховой компании и, когда оператор ответил, сразу объяснила, что хочу подать заявление о ДТП.

I dialed the insurance company’s number and, when the operator answered, I immediately explained that I want to file a claim for a traffic accident.

Это случилось вчера, около трёх часов дня, на парковке перед супермаркетом «Пятёрочка».

It happened yesterday, around three in the afternoon, in the parking lot in front of the “Pyatyorochka” supermarket.

Я выезжала задним ходом с места, внимательно посмотрела в зеркала и, как мне показалось, сзади никого не было.

I was backing out of the parking spot, carefully looked in the mirrors, and, as it seemed to me, there was no one behind.

Но в тот момент, когда я уже почти выехала, сзади неожиданно оказался тёмно-синий седан, которого я раньше не заметила.

But at that moment, when I had almost pulled out, a dark blue sedan suddenly appeared behind, which I had not noticed before.

Раздался глухой удар и скрежет.

A dull thud and a crunch rang out.

Я сразу остановилась, заглушила двигатель и вышла из машины.

I immediately stopped, turned off the engine, and got out of the car.

Второй водитель, мужчина лет сорока, тоже вышел, и мы стали осматривать повреждения.

The other driver, a man of about forty, also got out, and we began to inspect the damage.

К счастью, никто не пострадал, только у обеих машин помяты бампер и крыло.

Fortunately, no one was injured, only both cars had a dented bumper and fender.

Он вёл себя спокойно, мы обменялись номерами телефонов и данными полисов.

He behaved calmly, we exchanged phone numbers and insurance policy details.

Я всё сфотографировала на телефон — и повреждения, и расположение машин, и его номер.

I photographed everything with my phone — the damage, the position of the cars, and his license plate number.

Потом мы разъехались.

Then we drove away.

Сейчас я звоню, чтобы всё зафиксировать.

Now I am calling to get everything on record.

Фото я уже отправила на почту, которую дал оператор.

I have already sent the photos to the email address that the operator gave me.
