At A2, a story can carry you beyond a list of familiar objects. Follow who went where, what happened next and why someone asked for help. Journeys and everyday encounters give past-tense forms and movement language a purpose.

These supported texts suit readers who can already follow short A1 scenes and want more connected narration. The level is an editorial guide to choosing material, not a certification. A short practical dialogue can still contain an unfamiliar polite form or a verb of motion worth pausing over.
Before you begin
Be comfortable reading short Cyrillic sentences, common present-tense forms and basic case phrases. Expect past-tense sequences, connected clauses and some new vocabulary. Open a translation when the sequence becomes unclear, then listen again deliberately.

Read, listen, try it yourself
Retell a journey with сначала and потом, or adapt a courteous request to another setting. Try listening to a sentence once before reading its English. Use the same recording for a second pass instead of trying to memorize every new word at once.
